Our history is how we got here
Reliance’s Irish facility was initially set up to make high accuracy, ground measuring racks for the machine tool industry. The company was incorporated in 1969, and after a period of employee training, officially opened for business in 1973. In 1974, the factory was extended so that it doubled in size.
The business continued to grow, and over the years, the scope of work expanded to include a range of standard components including gears and couplings. In the 1980s, a cleanroom was installed to enable the assembly of products designed for scientific and analytical applications. Today, we produce ceramic components for quadrupole mass filters as well as components and sub-systems for our Reliance Technology life sciences customers, acting as the world-wide distribution hub for this area of the business.
